Week Twenty Eight

This week started pretty quiet and I was wondering what I would have to blog about, but you had some great and not so great moments by end and I have tons to talk about!

You pooped in the tub for the first time.  I love you baby, but it was seriously gross.  Breast milk curds and other turning the water yellow and sticking to your bottom.  I was laughing and freaking out a little all at the same time.  To be honest I had been thinking this could happen for a while and then it did and I was still unprepared.

It got really cold (well really cold for here) and you have so few warm clothes, so off we went to Kid 2 Kid and got you some great items for less than $35.  I have been having a blast dressing you in your new outfits, since you are the cutest baby ever.

We finally turned the corner on you liking solids. Banana was the trick.  If we add banana you will eat it!

Sadly we also had your first real ouchie.  Your Dad was trying to cut your nails and cut your thumb pretty badly.  You were screaming and bleeding and he was having a little panic attack.  I was at work and he called my cell and left a voice mail of just you screaming, and then called the clinic line and we spoke.  After 15 minutes of him applying pressure and the cut still bleeding I had him bring you down so I could check it out.  You had stopped screaming by the time you got to the clinic, but you had blood on your sleeper, the car seat, and the little pink bunnies on your car seat straps.  It turns out it was not a cut, but an oval sized chunk that he removed from the tip of your thumb.  I cleaned it and then with the help of your Dad and no less than 2 CVTs I managed to place a bandage around your thumb that anchored to your wrist.  Then I nursed you and everything was all better.  Your poor Dad was so upset and he says that he will NEVER cut your nails again.  I wanted to take a picture of your bandage, but your Dad was so freaked about it this one I will have to just remember.  A few days later we did take a picture of the healing cut.
